吳博士分別於1985年考獲成為英國特許建造師(Chartered Builder, MCIOB)，1987年成為英國皇家特許工料測量師(Chartered Quantity Surveyor, MRICS(QS))，及於2002年成為英國皇家特許項目策劃管理測量師 (Chartered Project Management Surveyor, MRICS(PM))。吳博士更先後於1998年及2003年成為英國特許建造學會資深會員(FCIOB)及英國皇家特許測量師學會資深會員(FRICS)。 此外他於2003年成為英國專業工程師學會資深會員(P.Eng(UK),FSPE)，於2004 年成為英國屋宇工程師學會資深會員(FBEng)，並於2006年成為中國建設工程造價管理協會會員( MCECA )(中國執業造價工程師)。 吳博士很榮幸地於2007年4月被委任為英國屋宇工程師學會(香港分會)主席。

吳博士曾先後在香港、澳洲及中國大陸執業，並在工料測量、建造管理、工程項目策劃管理、建造合同管理及其有關的培訓擁有豐富專業經驗。 他曾於1997年至2002年期間擔任由中華人民共和國建設部及香港建造業訓練局聯合舉辦的中國建築業經營管理培訓計劃之一年全日制的建築管理證書培訓課程的課程主任。 此培訓計劃旨在為來自北京及其他省市的中國專才及有關官員加深對建築管理的國際慣例的認識，使中國建築業更快與國際接軌，尤其中國大陸已加入世界貿易組織 (W.T.O.)。

中國廣東省深圳商貿專修學院(Shenzhen Business College, P.R. China) 於2003年10月委任吳博士為客座教授。 菲律賓比立勤國立大學(Bulacan State University, Republic of the Philippines) 於2006年3月委任吳博士為大學客座教授，及於2006年10月委任他為博士論文辯證的考官(External Examiner of Oral Defense in the Ph.D Degree Program)。

吳博士現為香港測量師學會(HKIS)、香港工程師學會(HKIE)、及香港營造師學會(HKICM)的專業評核試考官，亦同時擔任英國特許建造學會(CIOB)、英國屋宇工程師學會(ABE)、及澳洲建造學會(AIB)的最後專業評核面試的認可考官主席/考官。

吳博士擁有逾25年建造專業顧問經驗，並曽於澳洲、中國大陸及香港執業，並具究研實踐風水八字命理十多年經驗。英國特許建造學會 (CIOB)、澳洲特許建造學會 (AIB)、及香港工程師學會 (HKIE)的最後專業評核面試的註册認可考官主席 / 考官 (Registered as an Approved Chairman / Assessors in the Professional Interview Panels of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB-HK), Australian Institute of Building (AIB),  and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE),
